How do you dispose of rimfire ammo

Surrender them into your police force of jurisdiction for destruction.....

forget the police- too many questions- find a kid with a 22 cooey and let him have them for gophers- chances are he won't care and someone will get some fun

Find your self a couple of big old rocks and have at it ! Did that as a kid . Some how that topic came up at break time at work , one of my co workers chimed in and said check out my scar ( on his wrist) hammer and a rock a pice of brass casing cut a vein, I guess it Bled pretty good , trip to the doctor and a good speech . Soooo! May be not the best advice. But it was something to do .:nest:

I always toss a couple hundred in the fire out hunting, great fun, the group of us must burn a thousand rounds a year that way, they just pop nothing else, no movie ricochet sounds, just a popping sound

I'd be willing to bet that they would work in a bolt, pump or lever action. What are you running them in , a semi something?

Nope that type is just plain crappy. I've tried running them through a bolt I have with a good heavy primer strike, still get lots of misfires and when they do go bang they leave a ton of crap behind, never had to clean a 22 after so few actual rounds going through it before

i dont get how this is a issue ,go to your range lay it behind the line somewhere with a sign free crap ammo .,....blink........gone

If I did that at my local range, the next day there would be 4 more boxes of the same stuff left by other people along with the box I'd left there...

If I'm out in the bush shooting, any that don't pop get stuck in a target on a stump and
shoot them, butt end out.
Sort of like shewt'in bugs awn the target.
If'n yew pay ten'shun, you may hear them pop.
Makes a decent challenge.
Lots of fun with the CZ452 or T-Bolt.

If they really are that bad be careful shooting then off.

Pretty sure thats how I buggered the barrel on a nice revolver. Shooting suspect 22 ammo in a busy indoor range and not noticing the sound of a squib that left a bullet in the barrel. Barrel and frame cracked down the side.
