How do you get a high feedback count with few posts ...?

First off I am NOT trying to start anything here or questioning anyone's integrity ... just an honest question ...

Perusing the EE I sometimes see profiles with a high feedback rating but low post count ... I just read one where the person had a post count of 2 and a feedback rating of almost 700.

Just seems odd to me that a person with a fairly prolific apparent selling or buying regimen would never post ... you would think with such interest in buying and selling they would also have general interest for discussion ... just seems to be out of sync. Dealers perhaps? ... just the quiet type that likes to buy and sell? ... or is there a way of changing your id and retaining feedback from the past?

Again, just a random observation that got me wondering ...

..even besides the discussion aspect - how do you post an item for sale to increase your feedback score without simultaneously increasing your post count? I cannot help but to conclude that posting items for sale in the EE (..and subsequent BTTs) do not increase your post count.

Hi there well first off pm'ing people back and forth about sales will never show so maybe that's what's going on and i also think if you delete your posts like you do on the EE they don't count as posts i do not think you can carry anything over from another user name at all they seem to be very strict about your user profile, cant change your name ever with out closing account?? so i don't think that's what is happening I am willing to bet some people like to look and if they have questions as I mentioned they PM directly rather than share on a public forum, there are alot of tinfoil hats up here in Kanada

Some people are only interested in Buy/Sell and not into discussion. Nothing wrong with that. Then you got people that have no feedback and 10K posts.

Some guys own business's and sell stuff on the EE. One guy has a Post Count of 2 and over 1600 FB Rating

Yeah, but doesn't listing gun 1 for sale give you a post count of 1, listing gun 2 gives you a post count of 2, a BTT for gun 1 now gives you a post count of 3, etc. If posting to the EE actually added to your post count, someone with a feedback score of 1600 would have to have around 2000 posts - without engaging in any discussion.

Doesn't work that way. Sending you a PM.

Too bad the greetings forum posts count, and EE doesn't. Those don't really have discussions only. Should just list certain users welcome wagon members

Many of the EE threads get tagged as "Please Remove" by the OP after the item has been sold etc. That thread gets deleted and the post count gets subtracted.

most of the people I know that have that are Gun traders that are trying not to get caught by CGN admin, so they edit or have deleted there posts so its harder to track.
but many people give feed back.
so after a few years you Have 150 post and 600+ positive feedbacks, and as less then 50% post feedback it shows how many guns or items they are really selling.
That said some people do ask for posts to be deleted, but 99% of the reason they post are deleted is for the reason to do with items sold on the EE.
If you are selling that much stuff where your feed back is 5x you posts then you can afford to pay like the rest of the dealers.
