How do you identify the type of 7.62x39 ammo ie corrosive/non-crrosive ?

I have a chance to buy 2 spam cans of 7.62x39 for $150 but the guy who`s selling it can`t remember if it corrosive or not . what should I look for on the cans that will tell me what I`m buying ?

Corrosive powder tastes like strawberries, non corrosive does not.

windex only works because it is mostly water. take gun apart 2min. max, pour boiling water over and through all metal parts. let dry before using a light coat of gun oil or g96. re assemble gun. a total of about 10 minutes work, and its fun! Buy corrosive because its cheap and plentiful. guys that buy non corrosive and pay twice the price because they don't want to clean their gun are fools.

True...
Only if you have a friend with a van who has all the tools to take out your stuck case.
Speaking about that don't you have some parts of my heat gun still ;)

Yeah friends with vans are friends indeed! Especially ones that like to drink while they work. Keep up the good work and when's the next gong show?
