how do you jewel a bolt

Hellow gunknuzs. When i was in high scool many years ago, i was shown how to "engine turn" i belive was the term, i have forgotten this proceedure. Does anyone know how to use this proceedure to jewel a rifle bolt? Thanks Mike.

I've done 2 HVA's with a jig like that but used a pencil, eraser end with fine grit emery cloth glued to the eraser as medium. .

Great article, the only thing I would suggest is when cleaning the bolt
DO NOT WIPE THE BOLT CLEAN!!! instead wash it off with solvent. If you wipe it off you will scratch the jeweling with the abrasive
