How do you like your RCBS Chargemaster Combo???

It only has a 1 year warranty. Made in china now.

After 13 years I think you got your money's worth out of it and you should be pretty happy. If I was in your shoes I'd have no second thoughts about going out and buying a new one. Maybe be a little more gentle on the buttons of the next one ;)

Mine was working fine. Then it stopped dispensing. I know how to reset and did that. It will change from manual to auto, accept the change, but the dispense button has failed. This happened once before but corrected itself after a couple of tries. Not this time.

I am not sure if I am going to get another or change brands. Only a couple of years old but out of warranty.

Is yours the made in China model?

I use the chargemaster for loading for my precision rifles. It works great.

It dispenses the powder while I do other things. Plus then I am weighing every charge instead of just throwing charges with a powder measure. I just picked up a more precise scale and an omega powder trickler. My plan is now to use the chargemaster to dispense up to 0.2 gn under the charge weight and trickle up on the the more precise scale.

Where did you find the omega powder trickler?

The early China built units had sloppy tolerances inside and would leak powder granules into the mechanism jamming it up.
One phone call to RCBS and a new dispenser was sent to me. They didn't want the old unit sent back. I just had to swap the digital scale onto the new dispenser. RSBS is #1 for service.

I have 2 of these units, and have to say they are really very good.
The MacDonald's straw trick works, and there is a poster on here
who makes a small restrictor for the dispenser tube that will almost
eliminate any overthrows that occur otherwise. Dave.

+1 I went with the machined restrictor and it settled down very nicely..
Anyone care to share where/who is selling the machined restrictor tube?

I really like mine too. I bought an RCBS beam scale to check its accuracy against my digital scale, and usually the charges would be within .1 between the two or same. Really speeds up the reloading process for me and way more accurate then my Dillon press powder dispenser on my 1050, you could never trust the the thing.
I've hardly used mine though the last few months as I am too busy to do any reloading, and my reloading bench is so damn crowded, I'm thinking I might sell mine? If anyone wants a good used one, let me know..
