How do you lube your bulk reloading cases?

I use the Dillon spray lube (lanolin) and tumble with pins and have not experienced any issues.

I put them in the tumbler , minus the pins, for an hour.
Hot water, Dawn dish liquid, lemishine and the come out nice and shiny and clean..:)
 
This is all great info! Here is a question though, because I purchased a turret press so I could bulk reloading it is a bit of a pain to resize everything t once and then put them through the other 3 steps on the press. Does the lanolin mix degrade powder? I would like to be able to Pil my handle 4 times and have a finished round. Lee lube won’t degrade powder it sids but is a pain to apply to bulk casings

I don’t remove the lube off of pistol rounds. I don’t put much anyways. Rifle rounds, I just wipe with a rag.

And as far as I'm concerned no matter what lube you use it needs to be removed after sizing...if it's preventing brass from sticking in a die, it also is lubing up your chamber enough to allow much more bolt thrust than was designed into a gun.

Yup, same here but I use a plastic water tank pan.
Cheap, easy and works great, good on the hands and easy to clean off too.
 
I've got both the lanolin/ alcohol spray mixture and also Lee lube/ alcohol spray mixtures . The lanolin mixture does leave a film on the brass that I don't like and so I run it through the wet tumbler with no pins to clean it off . The Lee mixture , once the alcohol flashes off , leaves a dry / dull coating on the brass . Easily wiped off a hand full at a time in a towel or tumbled for a very short time . Maybe I've got the lanolin mixture too strong but it does work well so I'd hate to dilute it down too much and ruin it . I use both sprayed into the freezer bag and shaken around with a couple hand fulls of brass .

I got the liquid lanolin at a healt supplement store. It was about $12 for a 4 ounce bottle.

If you can’t find it, let me know and I could possibly get you some and ship to you.

Thanks 45C. I'll try the Bulk Store for the Lanolin and give this method a whirl.
I have a LOT of 9mm and .30-06 to process as well as a summer's worth of .45 Colt from CAS matches and practice.

I do not have the resources some of you have so cannot get the liquid stuff here on the Island.
Lots of places with paste. I am told that you can use the paste. Just dip the neck in it and as you resize it the paste will slide down the case effectively lubing the whole thing. I have never tried it so make no claim on how well it works. If one of you wants to give it a try - let the rest of us know.
 
I use Lee lube, put it on with my fingers. I don't load huge amounts at one time, maybe 20 rifle, maybe more. I ditched the gooey mess with a case lube pad 40 years ago, as soon as I discovered Lee lube. I like Ganderite's method, Definitely going to give that a whirl.

I agree that it only takes a wee bit of Lee lube. If a person is getting dented cases/shoulders, they are using too much. I have never had a stuck case with Lee.
 
I use used engine oil 1 or 2 spoons, a large container, shake the brass till they are coated.
I clean the brass in a tumbler with stainless pins, cold water + dish soap + vinegar.
 
Did a large batch of 223 last winter, dump 100 or so cases in large zip lock bag, give it one or two shots of aerosol canola cooking oil, shake it up like shakenbake chicken and run through the Dillon. Cheap and worked fine, I have since installed a case feeder but don't see any problem cleaning it if it gets to sticky.
 
I use the lanolin/alcohol mixture in a spray bottle, I throw about 50 pieces of brass in a large zip lock bag close and massage the whole thing for a minute or two.
 
Been using the lanolin / iso mix or Dillon for a while works great but certainly needs to be cleaned off. Picked up some one shot to hopefully avoid an extra cleaning. Is the consensus one shot is good to go without being removed?

I think you'll still want to clean the cases after sizing. If you don't, they will be greasy.
