OK, so I have about 500 rnds of sized lake city 223. Trouble is there is a bit of a round crimp on the primer pocket. I have tried an RBCS swager which just led to a bent swager, and tried a reamer(forster?) to remove the crimp and bevel the pocket. I still can not get a primer to seat.

Anyone had any luck with these, or are they scrap metal?

I use quite a bit of LC 223 brass, I remove the crimp on mine with a Dillon primer pocket swager. It is odd that the RCBS swager or the Forester reamer didn't work for you. The Dillon is the best swager to use but it is also priced accordingly, I gave my RCBS primer pocket uniformer set away once I bought it.

I have not personnaly measured primers but I have read that some are a bit bigger than others. E-mail RCBS they might send you a new rod for free.
