how do you remove firing pin spring from reminton 783 inner assembly

I have been having misfires on my 223 rem 783 ,, what tools will I need to change the firing pin tip and spring . I have a pin and spring coming ,

Hmm no one it looks like it just unscrewed from the end ? will see what the new one looks like ,, any tips on removal?? and if I should lock tight it

Just did this. Grab the firing pin by the flats near the end in your vice with softeners. Firmly grip the bolt shroud and it spins off. Doesnt seem like it had much for thread locker. I will when reassembling.the spring still has some tension so watch out. The sear will fall out of the shroud when unthreaded.

Thanks for info 358jess will do just that to remove mine .. hope the new pin and spring fixes my misfires ..
