How do you ship your ammunition?

My experience with UPS and Canpar was they would not ship Ammo for me, but do ship for business.

If I were you I would ask someone at the local Gun shop if they would be willing "to ship your ammo to yourself" and you could offer to buy them a jug for doing it plus the cost of shipping

I had a friend who owns a tackle shop help me out that way earlier this year to ship some ammo.

How is it you can ship (ammo) with UPS ?
It has been my recent experience that they will not ship ammo for an individual.
I'm curious as to when they (UPS) changed their rules.
Please enlighten the masses...or just me please.
Rob.
Hey Rob , I'm sorry about that post, it was Canpar and purolater. I've shipped ammo with both of those . Not UPS.

Its funny you say that cause he had to call his supervisor to clear up his confusion and the supervisor immediatly said no.

Hopefully Purolator will not have thier heads up thier ass and I won't have a last minute EE ad to deal with...

So..... what kinda ammo are we talking about here?

Brian, thanks for the clarification.
Wouldn't want anyone to get into deep doo doo by taking some information the wrong way and ship.
A guy last month has had a restricted firearm confiscated and sounds like more than a PIA trying to figure out what/who/ is wrong and who is responsible for the mess they are in.( shipping expedited )
Anyone wishing to ship ammo needs to read the stickies and or go to the major courier/ mail delivery folks and find the information on how to ship ammo legally.

I can speak only as a buyer's buddy and my buddy received many ammo purchases from private sellers via Canada Post. I was not sure weather or not the rules were still in place it is so frequent, anyone else see this happening?

Just observed powder shipped CANADA POST. Person shipped it to himself..... Do they not check... Is this no longer a rule.... I suppose they are trying to be more compettative with the electronic age... Seems rules are more or less enforced but not everytime... Anyone ever hear of somone being refused shipping a package?
