I used an old stack on 8 gun cabinet. Added 4 shelves. Stores plenty of ammo. Easy to see what I have andlock up nicely.

I use a couple of these. They are all metal, can be hung on a wall, but stack well as well. I could fit close to 800-1000 rounds in factory boxes per shelf. Infact if I used the whole shelf, probably 1400 rounds in 20 round boxes, and thats 30-06 type stuff. Lockable, adjustable shelves etc. Ammo cans fit in them easily. When on special these small ones come up a few times a year for about 100$ a unit. they have larger ones, but with the weight etc, I like the small ones.

Great idea! I use these as well, just the 24” tall ones. They are great for organizing and keeps the kids away from going through them.

When I bought my house in 1999 in the basement was a light switch and right beside it were 2 bare wires. I flicked the switch on and saw nothing happened and left it alone. Several weeks later I was downstairs and saw light coming from a faint gap in the molding on the stairs.. The 2 bare wires control a solenoid and when jumpered it opens the door. That is where I store my rifles and I made another such cubby upstairs on another set of stairs for the ammo. metal containers with desiccant granules and no issues with condensation....

I have an old solid wood kitchen cabinet that works great. The crates get stacked out of the way nearby.

Currently using Cabela's ammo cans, but plan on getting some sort of cabinet or locker in the future.

One PA108 ammo can per calibre, all ammo inventoried on a spreadsheet. Sadly a lot of the cans have very little in them (a couple are completely full).

An electrical cabinet. Heavy gauge steel with mulitple lock points. I built some shelves into it.
