How Do You "TUNE" An Extractor (1911)

I got a Wilson extractor and swapped out the old one. It won't extract dummy rounds.

I noticed the old one has a slight BOW in it.

Do I just bend it bit by bit until it works?

It helps a lot. One of the things I noticed was the back of the extractor stuck out of the back of the slide.
Now I have to get a new firing pin stop.
Or maybe ship it to a gunsmith!

Make sure the planets line up and start bending it in then out till it works. Cross your fingers and hope it keeps working. Or buy a P35, on which JMB switched to an external extractor and cured the issue
