How does temporary storage work?

I work in two provinces and have a secondary address with the CFO. I also have a long term ATT between the two locations, so I can bring restricted between my residences. I have some restricted in each place so I can go shooting in either city.

Problem is that I'm moving out of my primary residence (home 1). I might find a different home in the same city later on but things are a little crazy right now. I will have to update my address to home 2 with the CFO, which means I will lose the ATT also. Real bummer as it was pretty awesome.

Instead of moving my restricteds from home 1 to home 2, is it possible to get temporary storage and store them with a shooting buddy near home 1? I will still be traveling there monthly, but will not have a permanent address.

Can't comment on you being able to get a LTATT between your residence and your friend's place, but you can definitely store them with him - has been allowed on many occasions in the past for many different reasons. Apply for an ATT to your friend's place for 'storage' and that's all it takes.

How long can it be stored at a friends?
Would range trips be allowed from friend's house or would I need an ATT each time?

To my experience, CFC will allow for storage at a secondary location for a period of six months. They will however extend that period again if required.
