How far does your sks throw brass ?

You're right, it wouldn't be that hard. I was thinkin' you could drill a hole down through the gas block and thread a bolt with a round machined knob on the end thru the hole. It would be like a needle valve, so you could control the flow of gas through the gas port and as a result control the pressure. I don't wanna drill a hole in my gas block just to try it out, though :redface:
 
I wish for a bottom eject sks action...:D

I get dirty looks from ppl when I fling brass at them, intentional or not. Id rather go to the range, do what i need to do without interruption, and go home rather than have someone get upset with me cuz my 'ak' is getting brass everywhere
 
If you think those are dirty looks, what kind of a fit do you think you could get with a real ak chewing up a 30rnder on spray & pray? I wish I could find out!

My Yugo (m59/66) sometimes throws the brass, but often it just flips it out of the receiver and chucks it a couple of feet ahead. It's never thrown the brass the way I've seen some SKSs throw it at the range.
 
My SKS has tossed them as far away as 20' and then the once in awhile they just popped out and dropped at my feet and then there was the one that came right back and fell down between my glasses and eye.

X2 - the corrugated steel shelter gives off a nice "whack" after most shots (~5-6 ft above) I like it, but some of the shooters sitting next to em might not :redface:
