I have the same die, for use in a single-shot, and size it "just enough", so that it chambers easily and grips the bullet satisfactorily. There are many permutations of how that can be done, and I'm still experimenting.
If you use low pressure loads (e.g. 20K psi and less) just crimping might work. I've even used a 45 Colt die to size the upper 1/2 inch and that worked well too.
