How good is Sig Stainless finish?

If you're going to have to order one, do yourself a favour and order an SL from Germany. Besides a Sport Stock, that's the only other 226 I need to have. No stupid rails or tails, just pure stainless badassery. That's right. Badassery.

Yes, they do exist, but they come in from Germany so expect a price much closer to an X series gun. Also they are Ilaflon finished instead of Nitron for the black versions. No rail either so they have the old school look.

Unless you are talking about different type, but the all stainless steel black comes with nitron finish and do have rail. Questar has it for$1149 and special order.

A P226SL in black Ilaflon (or bead-blast-stainless if that matter) is closer to 1900$. But a hell of a gun...
 
I have an Enhanced Elite in 9mm, got it from Wolverine. I don't see any on the website anymore. There is a SS Elite in 40, for $1265. Not the best pic, some glare off the oil...

I'm sorry buddy, but the enhanced elite model doesn't feature all stainless steel (both frame and slide). Only the slide is stainless steel. The frame is aluminium.
Questar has 2 in stock for Enhanced Elite model.

On the other hand I am looking all around stainless steel both frame and slide in black (nitron finish). Model SIG E26R-9-SBSS.
 
I realize it isn't stainless steel. I want one, buddy. I have black, want ss, construction and finish. Clear, bud? Never said mine was all ss & black.

You're 100% right and I never check the price when I buy firearms; My GF doesn't either when she buys shoes so... :eek:

Sounds like a deal to me.

I'm using a two-pronged approach. First, I'm trying to only buy stainless or nickel finish guns. I've noticed that she approves of shiny things, so I can expect less questions. Second, I've taken up the HIMYM technique of answering direct questions with nonsense words. For example:

Her: "How many guns do you have? Like, five?"
Me: "Absotivelyriffic!"

or

Her: "Did you spend another $**** on a new gun?"
Me: "Negatormania!"

I am also looking for another pistol and that pistol is the sig sauer p226 stainless with nitron finish.
I don't mind waiting for a few months so I can save the money for it.
I plan to buy this pistol in July or August.
