How high? have to build new reloading benches

Remember to give yourself a 3-4 inch lip on your tabletop so you can mount your press without interference or grief. My tabletop is 1" thick plywood. I did a 4 inch lip to mount my rockchucker. I also sandwiched 2 small pieces of saligna between the plywood such that the mounting bolts had more to bite into.

Took a snap today on my iphone while I was reloading...

My bench was built 105cm from floor to benchtop. The Turret press was bolted to 19mm plywood and then that was mounted to the bench, and it is perfect for loading while sitting on a barstool. The LNL was mounted on a homemade bracket that placed the top of the press frame right at 1.5m. It is OK when sitting on the stool, but for longer sessions I prefer to stand.

My 0.02 - you should be able to apply most of your weight (if need be) with handle all way down and not having to bend your knees much.

I'm 6' tall and all my benches are 39" high. It works for me but my sawed off Brother in law has to stand on a milk crate to use them.

The best thing I bought was ergo mats at Costco for about $15.00 for a 3' x3'. I can stand on the concrete all day and not get a sore back. I also load on my progressives with a armless drafting chair and it gets my old eyes right at the level I need to see. Yes I do wear safety glasses because I did pop one primer in my Lee 1000 once and I'm being careful instead of remoresfull.
