I have a 9 mm CZ 75. I like to have a 40 S&W too. I saw a Baby Eagle in a store for 799. The salesman told me that a Baby Eagle is similar to a CZ but is much better. Is it true ?

I don't know about much better, but they are very nice. The dust cover is full length and quite heavy which does tame the .40 a bit. Fit is good, finish is a little plain but still looks nice IMO. Trigger was smooth on the one I shot as well. I have only fired a handful of rounds through one but have several freinds who shoot them for IPSC and love them.

It's an Israeli Jericho, which is based on the CZ75. It's a well made gun but I don't know if "much better" would be correct. CZ's are top notch.

I dunno I like the weight on the baby eagle but I do think the CZ has a better trigger I dunno it's all in what you like personally I have owned both and I liked the baby eagle better more solid to me at least.

The barrel on the BE is arguably better than that of the CZ75-series guns in that it utilizes polygonal rifling.

My personal experience was that my 9mm BE was ALOT more accurate than any CZ75 I have ever owned or shot.

Yeah, I heard similar opinions from people. From my own experience of shooting the BE (never owned one) I found it comarable in accuracy to my CZ.

The trigger in my old CZ 75 is bad, especially in double action. I never shoot well with it but I like the size and it is very easy to clean. I don't know the new CZs, that is why I am interested in the Baby Eagle. Do the BE. come with two models or just one ? Thanks.

The BE I have is a 9mm. I owned a CZ75 in the late '80s and had sold it. I went looking for a CZ85 and the store I went to told me to go with a BE as it is a 'better' pistol, which I did. The stock trigger is very sweet and the pistol is very accurate. It is priced higher than the CZ and only comes with one magazine. Mine does not have the polygonal barrel. Is it a 'better' pistol? I don't know about that as I was extremely happy with my PreB 75(had to sell it for financial reasons). Is the BE worth the 'extra' money? Not for me....the roll pin that holds my trigger in place keeps backing out after 200 rounds and red or blue loctite has done nothing to keep it in place. My CZ75 worked great and had no idiosyncracies. For about the same money as the BE w/2 mags, I could have gotten a CZ85 w/adjustable sights in a "satin nickel" finish. The CZ has a Kadet .22lr conversion available for it wheras the BE doesn't any .22lr conversions available for it. I believe the store made the suggestion because they had the BE's in stock wheras they would have had to order the CZ in. I don't have any major regrets but I still think the CZ is a better valued equal with more aftermarket stuff like holsters and spring kits readily available for it. Would I do it differently if I could? You bet I would......

Jericho or BE frame/slide are made by Tangfoglio of Italy , final fit and finish by IMI, finish and fit are much better than CZ, the early versions are very accurate, 7yrs ago our only problem with the Jericho is finding a holster because of the trigger guard design, Im sure a holster will be much easier to find now. and laastly, you have a lot of variants( decocker, ####/lock da/sa,dao,and single action.

I would say the opposite. I was amazed how accurate the CZ-75b was the first time I shot it out of the box. The trigger was a tad long in the reach for me, but no prob. Great gun has never jammed on me!! Although the BE looked a little more cool with the barrel shape, I found that the BE jumped more then the CZ. It was not as accurate as the CZ out of the box. I had the luxury of firing both before making my purchase. I went with CZ 75b.

Nothing wrong with the CZ but I prefer the BE. Heavier, better trigger out of the box, polygonal rifling and

look better ;)
