How is CCI Green tag? Is this a good deal?

I used to chase them and buy anything I can find for many years. Later I realized their standard .22lr Target round was producing very similar, if not the same, group with my Walther GSP. So I practiced with standard Target and compete with Green Tag. My free pistol did not like any CCI product though so I was shooting Eleys...

Personally I have never had great luck with Green Tag in my guns. No more accurate than SV for me. So a waste of $ in my experience.

Nowhere close to as good as Lapua Center X or the high end Federal GMM.

Others may have different experiences with their rifles.

I have a Ruger 10/22 and 2 bolt actions that love the stuff. But the majority of my rifles are neutral on them, but none hate them.

Not a match grade round, but still premium if used with a rifle that likes them. I am trying to reduce the number of different types of .22LR I use down to 5 or 6 types, and then to go for a bulk purchase. The Green Tag will be in that limited group.
