I always thought these looked super cool but had heard from some people that they make a mostly reliable gun a bit more unreliable in terms of feeding and extraction. So just wondering if anyone here has tried them out and has any thoughts on them! Sorry if this has already been asked to death or if there is already a dedicated group talking about this, let me know!

Which one? I have used most of the promag 10/22 stocks and sold all of them. They are built like a pelican case... heavy but like a tank.

Feeding and extraction are built into the action of the 10/22 and a stock is not going to change how this works... unless the inletting is overly small.

If you can indicate which stock, happy to offer more info.

My buddy has the nomad. Looks cool, but that's about it - the sights are too close together, optics mount to a plastic rail that sits well above the receiver, and using 10 round factory mags is a real pain in the arse due to the magwell shape (it comes with its own extended mag which works fine but is 25 rounds which are of questionable legality these days and I can only assume hard to get in this country now).

If you wanna slap a red dot on it and plink cans in the back 40 then it's fine but IMO it really reduces the practical usability of the gun. Plus it no longer fits in a normal gun case. Looks cool, but I don't buy guns to look cool...
