I am speechless..... WTF was his "friend" thinking, loading the kimber in the back seat, I mean, was he planning on shooting traffic signs while driving past them!??? seriously....

I am glad that was all he got... a few inches to the left and it would have been a man slaughter case I was just reading.

Unlikely that would have happened in Canada.

Friend would have to be locked in the trunk of the car or crawled into the back of an SUV and had the combo or key to the case and then combo and key to the firearm, then searching in his other gear for the separately stored ammo/loaded mag.

Hard to argue our laws on this one, just saying...

it is interesting though, as it notes in the article, that the arm wasn't at very least severely mangled or half blown off especially since it was hollow point ammunition. perhaps something to do with the close range? Whatever it is its extremely lucky on his part.

not much meat in the arm to even get the bullet expanding unless it hit bone, assuming it didn't plug up going thru the seat. but even so, it's just expanding, not exploding.
