Given the history of the Federal Government with 12.x's, how long do you think it will be before the Feds stop issuing ATT's altogether? Do you think this is something we'll see promised before or during the next election?

It's an issue that I haven't even seen considered by anyone here, I think we need to consider it as a very real possibility and brainstorm about how to prevent it from happening. Or we can just pull the covers over our heads and yell "La La La" as loud as possible. Your choice.

Same way we stop any other gun control. Convince the general public we are not a threat to public safety and focusing on us is a waste of time and resources.

Anything else is at best a stop gap measure. Electing the CPC only buys time. The only way we'll ever be able to stop worrying about the next ban is by turning The People against such security theater. Of course a lot of the old guard would rather call the very people we need on our side leftist retards or child molesters than actually engage in a meaningful conversation with them, and until that changes we're pretty well ####ed.

As an individual topic there is nothing special or different we can do to prevent them from not issuing ATTs that wouldn't also have much wider implications for gun control in general.

I would imagine anyone with a brain in their head has considered that this will happen sooner than later. There's not much sense in "brainstorming" a means of preventing it because there currently isn't one other than getting a new govt which is a stop gap measure anyways. Unless a CPC majority dismantles all the "gun control" that's been layered on since 2020 and then re-writes the FA, we'll just keep losing rights every time the LPC get elected.

Turning "The People", as Suther says, is a nice thought but unlikely to actually do us much good because "The People" will still vote for the party that pushes nonsense "progressive" policies and uses fear tactics (tHe CPC wIll baN ### maRRiage and AboRTion...) and that party will always have an influential fringe anti-gun group pushing for garbage legislation.

It's the logical progression from the handgun sales ban. First ban sales, then turn them into safe queens that can't be taken anywhere. Then wait until the owners die and confiscate them with zero payout.

If the Libs get back in power they won't wait until we die, they will make them completely prohibited and come and take them (because of the massive increase in handgun crimes we are seeing now even after a sales ban).
Their voters will eat this up. No handguns, no crime......rotflmao

With all due respect, that is a stupid question. The only thing anyone can offer is wild speculation. Why is this heavily on your mind?

If and when this happens, we treat it with non-compliance. Same as all the other immoral, unethical, illegitimately created laws.

This would be adding more insult to injury. Like most others here I follow the rules and regulations no matter how unfair, pointless and obtuse they are and in the last few years alone I have lost approximately $30K in personal property DUE TO LEGISLATION and many others have lost much more. I'm currently looking to leave Canada, the country of my birth, my mother's birth and my grandmother's birth because of what it has been allowed to become. Good luck people, Canada is DONE.

The old school readers expect a several year period of constant losses and persecution by the powers of illogical oppression. I’m not sure if no ATTs would qualify; probably more like an inconvenience I think. It will get much worse before it gets better.

We have been using facts and stats to support that argument for the last 45 years. I don't think the general public is listening. - dan

they can wait until the owners die if they want, but every year they LOSE all trace of 1000's of handguns and restricteds when people die,by the time the license runs out, after 6 months they start sending letters,IF they have the manpower and time, then after about a year, they MIGHT send an officer to check, only to find out the owner dies, possibly 6 years ago, where are the guns?..don't know,,that's IF someone from the familly actually still lives there, what are they gonna do,go dig up the guy to ask him where he put his guns, did he give them all away to freinds before his death, did his friends go in and take everything as arranged,or did someone close just take them, then put this info in a missing firearms file, which goes on a pile,a pile which NOBODY has looked at in the last 20 years,1000's of missing handguns, and other pretty serious weaponry, think 12.2 class stuff, and NOT one of those missing firearms has ever turned up at a crime scene,so much for gun owners being so dangerous,LOL,fact is,they will never find 99% of those firearms, and they're not to worried about it,because they know WE ARE NOT THE PROBLEM,the old Long Gun Registry NEVER got over 15% compliance, which means 85% of the guns in the country at the time were kept and never registered, and YET those unregistered gun were NEVER a problem for 30 years,??
