Rest assured that I know the difference. Some words change meaning over time, slang developes and entire languages evolve or we'd all talk like Romeo and Hamlet. Some hairs only need to be split by people anxious to demonstrate that they know what a stripper clip is. Big deal. :rolleyes:
 
Has absolutely nothing to do with me trying to show off that I know the proper term and you don't. Has to do with me sharing with you what the proper term is, so you don't look like a fool.

You will find that very little offends me, while many things amuse me. Be that as it may, "Cliploader" is the licenced name of a tool designed for loading detachable magazines from certain models of firearms. I didn't name it, nor do I feel any responsibility to rename it.

Well, it was, until you started confusing us calling mag's clips. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go see how many 22 shells....I mean 22 bullets....I mean 22 cartridges ......I mean .22 caliber rimfire ammunition I have for my gun....rifle...firearm.....;)

Jeez, I swear the masonry ones are like Uranium fuel rods for the managers I work under. I figure they must have to remove their heads altogether to replace them.
 
Here's a trickier twist - does the speed of "eating" a brick depend on how often you go to the range?

My bolties gobble up .22CB, but I don't recall ever having shot CB at a range. ;)

I guess we could also subdivide; how quickly do the gopher-getters cosume .22 LR bircks, versus/compared to those at the range outings?
 
Clip vs. Magazine always reminded me of the military...

Like when you had to grab our crotch with one hand and your rifle in the other and shout... THIS IS MY RIFLE (meaning the FNC1A1) THIS IS MY GUN (squeeze crotch) THIS ONE'S FOR KILLING, THIS ONE'S FOR FUN!.. :D:D


Got to thinking about the length a "brick" lasts as well.

If I'm doing a "fire support" mission with a buddy... i.e. He's doing precision sniping on nefarious clay pigeon pieces and I'm being the GPMG, then I can go through about 200 rounds (4 mags, or "clips" if you prefers common slang.. how gouche ;) ) in about 5 minutes. Extrapolate that using a 5 minute reload and bull sh!t session between "fire missions" and you get roughly 1200 rounds an hour.... :runaway::eek: I don't even think I can put that many down range in an hour.. And I'm a real good clip loader... :slap::D
