Hey

Just curious to know how long it takes to get a registration in the mail for a restricted? Its been about 3 weeks now. I received my ATT like 3 days after my transfer was approved and it said that the Registration would arrive in a different envelope. I have the pistol but can't shoot it without the registration right?

I am asssuming you purchased your pistol from a dealer. When you receive your pistol, It came with a short-term ATT to bring it from the store to your residence and a copy of the transfer. That is a valid registration and should be carried everytime you bring the firearm to your club/range provided you have a long-term ATT arranged by your club. Mine took 2-3 weeks, typical Ontario turn-around.

Read the conditions on your LTATT, it will probly require the cert for transport.

Well I just got my Registration in the mail today. Now the odd thing is that it states the brand Sig Sauer the action ( semi automatic ) the barrel length, the serial number, the class( restricted ), the type( handgun ) but nothing about the model number or the caliber.

Someone had mentioned that it would state that its a multiple caliber. So now it says that I must notify them right away if I make any modifications. Does that inlude the caliber exchange kits??

Also, are you allowed to laminate the certificate or is it best to photocopy it and then laminate that?

My most recent took just over 3 weeks. I called the CFO and she said that she would send out another in case it got lost. Sure enough it was in my mail box when I got home that day!
