Was at the local gun shop and a farmer rolled in and walked out with 1500 rounds of .223, case of buckshot and new shotgun. He's was concerned his cattle may become a target and was gonna kill any trespassers.
I get a kick out of us in the west. We get a virus that kills 1% or less of victims that actually get it, and people stock up on guns, liquor, and toilet paper and talk every man for themselves. The power isn’t even out yet for Christ’s sakes. Send a hurricane to the southern states and looters go wild and martial law in the streets.
Meanwhile Japan gets a tsunami that utterly destroys a region and people work together in an orderly and cohesive manner to save each other and move forward. This is a test run for the real thing, call me optimistic but I think we’ll come out of this better not worse.
It’s going to take work, financial prudence, and common sense not guns. Those who think they’ll be mad max come summer are in for bitter disappointment and some of the statements I’m seeing won’t age well.
With massive layoffs and some people heavy burdened in debt w/ no money for groceries how long till we see people going out and shooting big game to feed the family? Was at the local gun shop and a farmer rolled in and walked out with 1500 rounds of .223, case of buckshot and new shotgun. He's was concerned his cattle may become a target and was gonna kill any trespassers. Getting real out there folks.

Ugh, he is such a tool.
shooting big game, small game ect to feed your family because you have no money left and your freezers are empty is NOT poaching. It is called Sustenance hunting out of necessity. If you must resort to that to keep your family fed and healthy, You won't be called a poacher by me.
97.8% of the population in Japan is ethnically Japanese. It’s not really surprising that they banded together in a time of crisis . They have a shared background , history and culture. The same cannot be said for Canada.

Now, now, you're the one with the Helicopter in his back yard!![]()
Just before WW2 in Prince Rupert BC, because of hard times in the city, the game warden had a meeting and designated people who were good hunters to go out and kill as many deer as were needed to feed people.
I don't think we are there, but, at the local level, anything can be done with local political support
