For your AIA .308 bolt action? It sounds like a member of CGN has some info on a manufacturer who wants to do a prototype, so I thought if we started posting some basic numbers on what kind of volume is to be expected, this would help them in their efforts

So, how many 10/10 mags would you buy for your AIA bolt action rifle, assuming they were around $75 each? I'd be in for two right away, and probably another two as funds allow

*Edit: I am not involved in design, production or sale of these in any way, shape or form. I am simply posting to see if there are people interested in these magazines for the AIA bolt action rifle. I have an AIA M10 No. 4 and am genuinely interested in seeing a supply of aftermarket parts and pieces (including a rear sight, if anyone knows where to find them) for these particular firearms.

Even though I don't have a M14 i would buy 5 because I know I will be getting one. Keep me updated.

75.. seems steep..Ill be the first to admit that. Id rather go find a different platform that just accepts lar15's at that price, you can buy 3 for 1 at that price. Then those other platforms do cost 200+ more (su16, rem7615p) and the lars will also fit in my ar so its a 2birds1stone kind of mag..

I have no clue what actual costs would be or if these will make it into production...as with most manufacturing, the more that are produced, the less expensive they will be until a certain price point/absorption ratio is acheived for the company to actually make a few bucks.

Keep in mind these are 10 round mags for the AIA bolt action rifle.........;)

Why settle for 10 rounders? If you are going to make them new production in Canada make them a full 20 round capacity like a regular M14 mag, but still market as a bolt action magazine.

Will give all the M305/M14/M1A users some realism.

Indeed $75 for a mag is ridiculous, $35-50 at the very most, especially if they are made of plastic like a PMAG its CHEAP to produce them then.

Why 10/10s then? Why not 20/20s?

I'm sure if the 10/10 mags were approved by the powers that be, 20/20 mags would be a possibility as well...

That would be critical.

You wouldn't want another fiasco like the FIT'S AIA 7.62MM BOLTACTION RIFFLE magazines.

The LAR, etc. magazines were specifically approved.

Before anyone gets ahead of themselves , they might want to contact the RCMP before hand , i remember the last time someone got this bright idea for AIA magazines the resulting thread ended up with the RCMP getting the hint the 20/20 magazines werent for the AIA and were intended to fornicate the loop hole of bolt action magazines , well they put the jackboot down on that idea hard and fast and i also remember some people losing a fair amount of money because of the issue .

The RCMP arent as stupid as people think they are.

Damnit tiriaq beat me to it ...

Although anyone going ahead with this scheme without knowing if it will fly would certainly qualify.

Do you know any other semi 308 that takes 10 rounds? Apples to Oranges. Plus they are making these mags special order. But I guess its up to you if you want to go spend a grand on another rifle so that you can save $35 a mag?:bangHead:

I'll take 4 at least!!
