how many .22's do you own? And why? (hunting/Collecting etc..)

I have: Savage Rascal - for my boys when they started
- Cooey 750 - for when I started
-Browning SA22
-Browning Buckmark Field / Target
-Browning T-Bolt .22 WMR Target / Varmint (LH)
-CZ 452 Lux (LH)

I'd rather not talk about it...........

3 of them have been hot-rodded and have 5K each invested into them with optics, then there is a Walther G1X match rifle in the collection as well

I think if I have too many I wouldn't get a chance to shoot each one often enough .that's what I am trying to tell myself but it's not working.

Yeah, you'd think that logic would work...but no. :)

.22's are so useful as understudies and practice guns for other firearms that you simply need a bunch of them. I've sold off lots, but I will always need at least one levergun, one semiauto, one single shot, one turnbolt, one straight-pull bolt, etc. I also need practice guns with receivers sights, with open sights, red dots, and of course scopes with various types of reticles, etc. Rimfires that mimic the handling and especially the trigger feel of favourite hunting rifles are invaluable; and it goes on and on...

Guys are always blathering about do-it-all rifles, the one perfect rifle that fulfills all roles. Where's the appeal in that? I want does-only-one-thing-perfectly rifles; much easier to justify more of them.

I Have quite a few and it’s gotta stop cuz the gunsafe is full. One shotgun and the rest are .22’s. I know of some people who collect only one kind of .22. Like Cooey single shots. That’s it. And another collects only .17 single shots but of all different brands. For me I started with old .22’s. If it looks good I’ll get it. Cool factor was high on my scale but I was just starting out in the “gun world” lol. Pump or bolt and semi auto I have some of each kind. Now I haven’t bought a gun in a while but now my interests have changed and I’m looking for new. T1X looks good to me. Maybe CZ or even maybe the Ruger Precision. Not completely convinced on that one but it looks cool. I might have to sell some old ones to buy new ones. Maybe buy another safe!!! Lol

I currently just have 2. They are both .22's. I somehow have the weird desire to pickup a .17 HMR though haha. My two rimfires currently are:

Ruger 10/22 Stainless Sporter with Kidd trigger upgrade and auto bolt release (hunting rifle)
1934 Winchester Model 67 single shot bolt action .22 (conversation piece/plinker rifle)

I just sold every .22 and centerfire I own to some guy in High River Alberta. His name was Bob I think. He said the RCMP stole all his guns a few years ago during a flood. He never got them back and needed them replaced.

How many is to many lol

Just caught your article of 22s you own and I thought I had a sickness lol
Best entertainment on earth!..I used to shoot 250-300 round per day in the weekends with a bolt action to me it’s man yoga!
I just recently picked up a 1422D Antshutz 1978 that had the original box of amo 150 rounds only fired and the accuracy is beyond belief this shoots as good and better then my V22 Vudoo today I shot a unmeasurable hole @50m and shoots under .2 with ease. So if one pops up add it to your collection super stunning rifle.
Keep collecting I only own 12 and counting good to see I’m. It the only crazy out here! Take care keep shooting!

Currently have 17, mostly vintage and old youth models rifles. My most recent is a Stevens 414 Armory. I guess I`m a nostalgia shooter I enjoy knowing what it was like and compare accuracy. 1908-early 70`s
My favs are the model 42ma Mossberg, and the Erma Em1, both absolute tack drivers.
Always on the look out for old beauties.

Target shooting: ES350B Mauser single shot for pushing the.limits of distance.
Hunting: Toz-17 because it can handle Aguila SSS up to 100 yards on game.
Plinking: Mauser 105, you have to own at least one semi-auto. I have a very old Savage tube fed bolt gun from the 1940s only because it was an okay deal.
Someday I will get a Grey Birch or Tac-Sol or Dlask just because. These could be sidelined if I.bumped into a Speedmaster 552.
