how many .22's do you own? And why? (hunting/Collecting etc..)

I got a Mossberg 144 LSA. It was my introduction to peep sight F class rifle. But now sports a 4x scope and use it for off hand Silhouette style rimfire shoots. I got an Anschutz 1403 match 64 for F class Apeture.

I got a Anschutz 64 Silhouette that I use for target, f class etc. Toz 8M and 10/22 for general plinking. I'm looking at getting a modern bolt to maybe replace the Mossberg as parts are getting harder to find. Then a Browning Buckmark pistol

I know I answered this post a few years back; I've sold a bunch of guns in general since then (downsizing). None of the ones I sold were rimfires...but I have somehow managed to pick up a couple more of those!

I've gotta refine my downsizing techniques a bit...:) Sell five, buy four is going a bit too slowly.

Grandfather bought me a Cooey Mod 39 when I was 12 years old, still have it…
Now…probably 3 dozen not including pistols and revolvers. Awaiting delivery on 2 more and bought another one yesterday.
My bad ?? lol. I just LOVE rimfires !!!!

My rimfire numbers are definitely lower than my center fire but they definitely are the most used. So fun to shoot. Me and my boys were up camping a few weeks ago and we ran through quite a few rounds of .22lr. Nice to be able to shoot with out muffs.

Lessee....
M1-22 Chiappa
StG44-22
GSG-16
CIL Model 310 (made by Anschutz sometime in the 60's)
Ruger Wrangler revolver
Chiappa LA22 (lever action)

And I'll ALWAYS make room for more......:D:D

As for why, it's two words......CHEAP FUN!!!

Norinco 9422 clone
Savage mark 2
Pump 22 taken apart
Single shot 22 taken apart
Cz452
3x tm22
About 4 or 5 10/22 taken apart,
I think that's it.

I have one semi custom 10-22 I use it mostly as an F class trainer
Purists will want to find 22 and centrefire versions of the same rifle, and there’s merit to that, but any rifle you get behind is an opportunity to practice fundamentals.

I own quite a few. My wife and I were at a fundraising dinner a couple years ago, I bought some tickets for a Henry Rimfire and she says you already own four .22’s why do you want another? So I replied four you are aware of…….lol.
I really like rimfire as I belong to a gun club with a 20 yard indoor range with 50 out back. I don’t really hunt. So they’re more or less for recreation.
Everybody needs:
A couple pistols, lever action, pump action, single shot break action, a couple of 10/22’s and a precision bolt action am I wrong here? I sort of feel now eight is enough but I can’t pass up a good deal on a 22.
