How many black rifles do you own?

One time the internet was great, people were helpful, people willing to share ideas, pictures etc. Now everyone online is either trying to be famous, make money, or tear someone down or get them in trouble, or steal information. It's toxic and really sad. Helpful forums have mostly disappeared, youtube is all crappy ads. I have noticed over the past couple of years it's really hard to find reviews and how-to stuff no matter the subject matter. People don't want to share and be helpful, they want to make money, the online society that was the internet really has changed and it's for the worse. The internet really has gotten crappy IMO, the real glory days were early 2000's to 2012 or so. Maybe the world really did end in 2012 and I am just realizing it now.

Oh and to respond to this thread. Nice try RCMP.

I also belong to a car and a motorcycle group, to keep in touch with any changes and for advise.

Besides the occasional smart azz comments, the trolling is limited, and members quite helpful.

I have a whole bunch of "Black (and Green and Brown) Firearms" in a variety of configurations and calibres ranging from .22LR to .223, and .300 Blk to .308. I have enough Restricted and Prohibited firearms to give Poly, CCGC. the Drs and Danforths absolute, full-on, frothing at the mouth fits! During my 40 years of ownership, none of my "Black Guns" has ever left my positive control and jumped up to kill a random stranger or a loved one. Not a single one! So, "Assault" firearms my arse - mine have never "assaulted" anyone despite weekly trips to the local firing range where the Restricted ones frolic free of their Trigger Locks!

Evidently, my "Black Guns" are NOT the problem!!

Feast your eyes, Poly!!

Thanks Bartok, appreciate the response.

Very jealous of your collection. You are clearly an example where one just wasn't enough haha.

If I had some disposable income I would own everything you could buy that was NR, but I don't. I own 3 AR's and don't have a problem saying that as the horse cops already know about them anyway. One is a bare lower, the other two are old Colts, a bastard SP1 I was working on trying to clone a Vietnam era carbine with, and a newer Lightweight Sporter.

At this point I'm in limbo because in April of 2020 I stripped both of those and sold the uppers/furniture/fcg to fund new components. Then the oic dropped before I called in to change their status (less than a week later) and I now have two lowers sitting here saying I'm a criminal because the cfc wouldn't let me change their status despite the previous allowable time to report changes.

This is called internet 2.0, you miss internet 1.0, I do too.

Internet 3.0 looks promising and should bring us back to our roots.

enuf nerd ####, #### the rcmp they aint getting a damn one of my guns

Are you someone who likes having multiples of one thing or quality over quantity? AR style or bullpup? or one of each? Do you tend to swap out your rifles over time as you can afford more expensive options?

I currently have one MSR (MCR) and a OIC prohib example that is questionably considered a black rifle. Since the MCR is a fairly entry level option, I'm hoping to eventually buy a higher grade rifle like a Famae or NDS if it ever comes to market.

How many are in your safe?

None, they fell in the deepest part of the lake when gone boating. A real travesty to be perfectly honest?

I own one AR lower that was never built, i have been scared to own any non restricted rifle since they got rid of the registry…..you know since they became more dangerous..
