If anybody uses it and could let me know or give me an idea. I only got one bottle when I ordered from Dillon last and will be ordering more. Just not sure if I need to buy the case of 20 bottles or only maybe five more.

I used it for resizing .223Rem with Dillon Carbide dies. I was impressed with how little lube was actually required.

With .223, I'd expect 25k+ out of a bottle, and probably a fair bit more.

Just make sure you let the alcohol evaporate well before use.

WOW! That much? Thanks!

Keep in mind I was using carbide dies, but yes, it goes a long way.

I cut an old cardboard box down so it was only about 8 inches deep. I layed out the cases like french fries, with out overlapping too many. One single spray pump just a bit over the center of the box, a quick shake, and a second pump. Dump them into a 5 gallon pail to dry, and on to the next batch.

I have started to make my own 'Dillon Lube'.
Mix 100 ml of liquid lanolin with 500 ml of 90% rubbing alcohol until it all disolves and you end up with 600 ml of lube for approx $14.

X2

To aid mixing, warm the alcohol using a chafing dish in hot (boiled) water (removed from stove for safety's sake). The lanolin will mix in seconds and remains in solution indefinitely,, great stuff!
This sounds more complicated then it is. Its done and dusted in just a few minutes.

Could be the dumbest question in this thread - I have a 650XL and I haven't lubed a thing.

Should I?

I assume you're using carbide dies to load straight-walled pistol cases. If you have no difficulty sizing the brass, don't worry about lubing.

Bottleneck cases require lubrication to prevent sticking in the die.
