How many FN CAL rifles made it into Canada?

Ah, sorry, i should have mentioned it.

I'm from The Netherlands, but you're right, the gun is from Belgium ;).

I don't know how many CAL's were send or sold to Canada.
I do know that there were 20 in total send to the US in the 60's.
I know of 3 that are owned in The Netherlands, 1 para and 2 fixed stock.

We don't need a new receiver like in the US, without a sear cut.
If a gun was full auto, we only need to make sure it doesn't fire on full auto by welding the full auto cut in the selector switch.
That means that all guns in The Netherlands are completely original.

That guy looks like Rob Schneider in "You don't mess with the Zohan"...:D

That truly is a horrible movie, i would no reccomend it to anyone................

The guy in the picture looks like a Brit in Rhodesia with a very nice looking Rhodie in his hands.
One day i will build a Rhodie, but first i have to find a nice FN Fal.
These are becoming rare and expensive these days.

Not to derail the thread but I'm curious what the laws are like there?

Maybe I'll get my dual citizenship some day and need to take some guns over there with me. :D

I know there is a member here from Luxembourg who has a pretty wild collection but it seems like the majority of the EU has pretty draconian gun laws.

I had the FN-FNC years ago but sold it when I went to black powder guns.
I had a folder with a 1-12" twist and didn't handle the SS-109 ammo only the M195 55 gr.
I liked it, I had too many guns and didn't keep anything except an FN L1A1.
This could start an argument so I will correct the wording, there is no such thing as "Too many guns".

I can not even shoot my FN anymore as it is prohibited and a letter from the Gov't forbids me from taking it to the range or anywhere to shoot...

I bought a Indian FN that was in great shape hoping to take it hunting when I first bought it...it didn't take long after that to become restricted then prohibited and then the "letter"...

Nice gun, wish I could shoot it...!
