How many goose decoys to put out!

Going to do an evening shoot at a small marsh tommorow night. How many decoys do you guys think I should put out? Thanks.

Go with what is usually in the area. If there is only a few birds in the area, use a few dekes. If there is a lot of birds there, go with as many dekes as you can get your hands on. Bottomline is make it look natural.

Same as what waterfowler said. For us we sometimes see a few hundred birds, depends on where we are hunting. (what we get to come into the decoys is sometimes a differant story though) Either way right from the early season till we shut er' down, we will put out about 4 dozen decoys. Some full bodies, some magnums, but mostly standard or slightly bigger. We always hunt either grain or corn fields though.
