I'm down to 2x 9mm, 2x .45ACP, 1x .44mag, and a .22lr conversion kit for the 9mm.
So depending on how you look at it...I have 5 or 6. I regularly shoot all of them except for 1.
I'm happy with my diversity.

Fourteen thousand. Give or take.

No offense but threads like this aren't thought of too highly. This site has been the target of ''anti's" in the past who ask very similar questions.

No, I am not telling the internet how many guns I have.

I get that thinking and there is nothing wrong with it , but some people are comfterable with disclosing it , and if they do and the op wants to know then its fine. Nobody is forcing anybody to participate in this thread

I disagree, if lots of people come out and say they own 100+ hg's and the numbers of legally owned guns can be extrapolated then the anti's can use tag lines like " only 5% of the population own them, let's ban 'em".

Do as you will, I won't. Like I said.

One centerfire and one rimfire, no future plans to own more for personal use at this time.

I am a firm believer in only shooting one gun for any discipline that it falls under and not having 10 guns that all fit the same purpose.

I can understand why someone wouldn't want to advertise how many firearms they own on an open forum. One reason would be the potential for making yourself a target for theft. I'm not 100% sure if it also gives the other side ammo, but if so, it could also work the other way too. I don't know how many times I've come across folks who don't even know that its legal to own a pistol in Canada. Typically they don't get all freaked out, mostly curious. I sometimes get asked "Why do you need a pistol?" My answer usually satisfies them. If the general population actually knew how many law abiding gun owners there are (and how many firearms are actually out there in the hands of those same owners), it might not be a bad thing. The more that people are exposed to the idea, the better (imo).

I own probably 30ish pistols. Some are for shooting, some are my attempt at preserving history. Hope I don't regret disclosing that info!

I just got back into shooting sports a year or so ago so I'm in the rebuilding phaze. My safe still has lots of room but I'm doing my best to rectify that. ;)

I honestly don't know, 20 or something? I'm too lazy to break out the certs or go look in the safe and count them.

Some days I wish my hands were guns!!

Then instead of being all thumbs, I could be all Glocks... LoL

I don't like to advertise how many I have, some people get 'funny' when they even know you have one. A guy I work with knows I am into firearms, he said he and his wife just got their RPALs and picked up their first but keep it quiet as he doesn't want others knowing. He also didn't want his adult children to know either as they might look differently at them.

I'd be willing to say that I have "not enough"

op, buy as many as you like, shoot them often, keep enough for friends, have fun and be safe.

Some guys own thousands yes thousands not a typo, some guys own none, and all own them because they can and want to and like to. Do what you want, no need to follow the pack
