I screwed up when making the choices .....if you have went to a clinic choose the first response,,,sorry dont know how to change it ...

Thanks again Hungry for helping us out ....:)

The one I went to was in Barrie , its about a 4.5 hr drive and I had to get up at around 3.30 AM or so , drive to the clinic and then drive home the same day ....and I would do it again ...:)

If you have an m14 (m305) attending one of his clinc's is a must.
Lots of useful info and the man is a pleasure to meet.
I will go again when his has one back in my area :)

Went to one in Edmonton. Great time.8 hrs one way

If you mean Spruce Grove, yup I was there , I drove 3 hours one way for that one (interupted an Elk hunt). I'm thinking, you helped me replace the broken roll pins in my mag release? Also another in YC, tried some parkerizing that time. Was a no-show for a second in YC, wife had other plans:mad:

Good Times, Good Times:D

I set up the "Hungry" clinic in B.C. a few years back............It was held in the indoor range at Abbotsford Fish & Game.........and was probably the largest attended and best equipped clinic at the time...... ;)

The best shooting M14 type rifle I ever owned was originally built and owned by Hungry himself..........that is the only rifle I regret selling...... :(

I have known Barney for roughly 20 years....... he taught me all I know about the M14 platform.

He is a great teacher, mentor, and friend !!!!!

I had the good fortune of buying a USGI barrel and bolt from Barney, and to my surprise, he offered to install them....for free! I went up, and we put together a very nice USGI M14, and test fired it. I learned so much from that session; just invaluable time spent, and a super nice guy to boot. Unfortunately, I can't make the sessions coming up, but will find the time, next time. Thanks, Hungry!

Might I inquire as to, that is to say, where one could perhaps find a copy of said DVD?

I believe the wmv's for the 2004 clinic are available for download on the Military Surplus Collectors website [http://www.milsurps.com/]. I have copies that I could post somewhere or if you prefer, I can put them on a DVD and mail it to you.

Yeah, chalkriver...and you had a scary time on the way home with black ice!

Yeah, I would attend another, for sure. Crossing my fingers for another Barrie clinic.

Hungry, ya reading this?:D

djmay ..You should go to one even if you dont have one yet , there are normally a few m-14s extra to work on and it is a great learning experiance .

Ya Rule 303 ...The drive home was scary allright  ....I thought a big propane truck was going to end up in my lap !!
I wanted to go to the 2 day meet in Millcun but cant make it...so this March in Ottawa is my target date now.

I would go to a clinic if I had a an M14 :(
Sadly, I can't justify another $500 firearm investment to the GF.

Wait a minute...girlfriend? Why do you have to justify investments to the girlfriend? A wife sure, but man...

And to answer the OP's question...never been. When I lived back in Canada, I was seriously thinking about picking up a m14. Now that I live in the States, there's no point for now. If I move back to Canada, I'll be picking one of them up, and will probably attend a class! That's a big if though...

Never been to a clinic...never knew about them til I started reading this forum.

Soon I'll have a M14 mini....thank you CanadaAmmo....

Is there a website or mailing list or Facebook page where we can find out about upcoming clinics?
