Wait a minute...girlfriend? Why do you have to justify investments to the girlfriend? A wife sure, but man...

And to answer the OP's question...never been. When I lived back in Canada, I was seriously thinking about picking up a m14. Now that I live in the States, there's no point for now. If I move back to Canada, I'll be picking one of them up, and will probably attend a class! That's a big if though...

Please invade us, I throw down my arms and adpot american policy.

There is another 2 day Hungry M-14 event scheduled for the end of the month, at MilCun Training Center, in Central ON.

I went to the one in Calgary last year. Very informative, worthwhile and a must for Norky/Poly/Springfield M14 owners, in my opinion.

I recall the rifle stock was not painted with the funky camo colours when I held it.

I believe the wmv's for the 2004 clinic are available for download on the Military Surplus Collectors website [http://www.milsurps.com/]. I have copies that I could post somewhere or if you prefer, I can put them on a DVD and mail it to you.

Thanks for aiming me towards milsurplus. I found the vids.

I was fortunate enough to go to the first clinic. I've helped several others with assessing and improving their rifles since. Thanks Barney, for spreading the M14 love!

The videos are still there? Darned if I know about their presence. That video from 2004 Abbotsford Clinic that Skullboy put together has got to be one of the best ones we have ever done. It's the benchmark I measure my following clinics by... still !

And yes, I'm here for you M14 lovers. I've got a clinic running for the Southern Ontario dudes (also the SE Ontario guys) up at the Milcun Marksmanship Complex w w w.Milcun.com on the 29th and 30th of October. Still got room for you there. It's gonna be a great one because you have me for 2 whole days. The first day we tweak, the second day we shoot and feel/see/hear the results of our efforts. :D

I'll still be here for all of you M14 lovers, but this summer, I'm feeling the West Coast call me back home for another road trip. Sobo403 remembers the fun I had in Calgary for that 'back to back' M14 Clinic weekend in 2010 July and I want that to happen. I'm hoping to swing up to Edmonton and the Fort MakeMoney since we have more M14 lovers there.

Anyways, I don't wanna hijack this thread here and speak about the clinics because I'm supposed to be 'clinic'ing in the Events and Gatherings Forum. Follow the links in my signature line for the clinic information!

Cheers and peace!

Barney
