How many hunters are morning people?

Good luck.
I used to get up early, that day before opening day, and make a nice hot cup of java, (that I'm not supposed to drink anymore ) just so I could look out over the lake, and watch the stars slowly fade, and the reflections in the water change from stars, to the hills on the other side of the lake. Sometimes you could see shooting stars, sometimes the ducks would gather down by the dock.

I woke at five this morning J/C... like most longtimers the alarm just gets rusted in that position after a while. I remember when I worked shift work and was on night shift I would go weeks with an hour or two of sleep a day.
On Saturday (Duck opener here) I was up at four and on the river at five... we paddled in and pounded the ducks and geese till 9:00 then went and put in eight hours at the store. I must be getting old though cuz I wuz in bed by nine that night and woke up with a sore back.
The deer season starts here on Sunday... I can forget about any lazy days for two months I suppose.

Mornings good for me too!

Wuz up at 4:30 am this past weekend out for goose. Didn't get any, but we were our there ! Got some experience, had some fun...not bad for my first goose hunt. Then we worked on the camp for the rest of the daylight. ( main reason we were there, getting it ready for new season. )
