I have two. One I bought from trade ex two years ago and the other was given to me last year by my grandmother, it was her fathers service rifle. Gotta love the K31!
They're beautiful rifles, shoot like crazy, are built with great care, and aren't expensive, but I just haven't found the time or money to pick one up. Reckon I'd better soon, before they're all gone.
Just one , but I can see why someone could get hooked on them , I also have a 1889 30-30 sporter , really prefer the k31 but the 89 was given to me so why not
One, walnut stock... Wouldn't mind one or two or a bunch more... But I've got 30 some odd non-restricted rifles to get before I go out and get doubles... Unless I happen across a beautiful tiger striped one
... come on, it's impossible pass that up!
I have a 1954-built K31 and swap out sights between a 1950's K4 Weaver on an SP mount and a new P/S diopter, also from SP, with a Centra micro-adjustable foresight element.
My other Swiss guns are a 1914-converted K11 and a Hammerli-converted K31 300m match rifle in .308Win.
OT, but the 1889 S-R Model is 'off-ticket' here in UK, and anybody can go buy one, so long as they don't shoot it. To do that you have to jump through the hoops and join a gun club etc.
I reload, on account of the lunatic cost of GP11 here.
Just the one. If I ever get a ton of money I can see myself buying one more to host some of those nice diopeters, and also a K11. A K11 is a bigger priority.
