Just went through my records & counting the mauser en-route, 100 guns have passed through my hands since dec 2004. 95 where milsurps, 40 mosins & a motley collection of others. Buy, sell, buy, sell, buy, where does it end?

Once I get off my butt and start posting them for sale on the EE, that many will go through my hands in the next 12 months, if all goes to plan........

I don't sell, only buy.

I have traded an SKS and sold a 10/22. That is the extent of firearms that have ever left my hands. I horde, collect and love my guns!

Andy: Let me know when you are about to sell, I have some guns on my list you may be able to help me out with.

In about 2 years I have bought, traded and sold 16-17 firearms, all milsurp. The first year was rocky, guys at gunshows really seem to overprice thier stock, then I found CGN, sold the crud I had bought for too much at a loss and got into better quality milsurps. Not bad being a University student.

Number of Firearms

I figure I have gone through over 2,000 in the past 35 years. I would estimate 65% were military. When I delivered milk door to door in the 80s I picked up lots of guns, once in a while I would return to the dairy at the end of the day with one or two guns. My best day I picked up 5 or 6 commercial and military firearms and a number of war trophies. I even picked up ammo and firearms for a local dealer, the carriers would flag me down with the guys orders. I would hold them for the guy because he worked shifts.

Guns

You are right Drachenblut. A friend of mine brought in 3 packs of M14s for around $500 or $600. He bought in Stens, Brens, AKs, Thompsons, M1 Carbines, Enfields, Mausers, and just about everything International Firearms sold.
I have no idea where all the M14s went but I am sure most never went into the system. They are probably around but carefully tucked away.

albayo, indeed it seems the glory days of gun selling and buying are behind us, though this silver age seems comfortable enough in our times. Let us hope all proceeds smoothly and consistently in Government so we may keep our sport as such or better.

2, My SKS (Technically a milsurp) and my kar98K, but they have stuck.

I'm also planning to add a mosin-nagant M44 to that list as well.
