How many Norinco 1911's in Canada

Sitting here looking at mine today, how many Norinco 1911's does everyone guess there are in Canada.
I'm gonna take a blind swing guess at 1000.

When I bought mine, they were $199.00. That was in the early/mid 90's. I didn't get the first one either. There must be many 1000's by now.

As I recall talking with Allan Lever in 1995 or 1996 when he was waiting for one of the first shipment of them to Canada. I asked him if there going to be enough for me, he just said that he is bringing few hundred of them in one shipment.
There must be at least 10000 around by now

I asked how much they gone be, he wasn't sure but said $179.00. When they came He was selling them for $250.00 but mine was waiting for me at $179.00 He kept his word

Good to know that there are many thousands that are just as much of a gun nut as I.
I was reading through an American site a while back, and they where talking them down. One actually tried to say that they where unreliable junk. This is counter to my experience. I'm wondering if the only reason why some think they are junk is that they say "made in China", and not "made in USA".

I think if Norinco's gun has Sig or Glock's logo on it, then nobody will say it junk. They just hate China. Had a Ruger 10-22 before, the action was so rough and even the sales of the gun store said he never saw one like that worse before, my NP-29 looks way better.

I've got 300 rds through mine.

Mine shot great right away but it was tuned up by armco. Shoots just as good as $1000 guns I've owned.

Only about 250 or so through mine, but it shot great from the beginning and still shoots the same.
