How many reloaders store their powder in a wooden box?

I actually do. I have a WW2 grenade box fixed to my wall, and added a shelf in it. There are no regulations for it, but I have little kids, so EVERYTHING is under lock and key!

yes, the regulations changed and the wooden box is no longer a requirement.

No this is
If the storage unit does not meet the above requirements ( for detached from dwelling), the propellant powders may be kept in a lockable secure bin; however, the storage limit is reduced to 10 kilograms gross weight.

Bin to be constructed using non-sparking materials;
Which to me is still wood or anti static plastic which is real crazy money to buy. I fluked mine used from a mine site where explosives were stored

I store both powder and primers in a wooden box, as per the regulations.

Same here :) wood in small bin and anti static plastic in outdoor storage unit
I just shake my head at these guys that think it is so cool not to store as required. Little do they realise what could happen

My bud had his out in the open and on a shelf and got a flood in his basement in july 2012. Insurance company showed up to inspect the damage and did. Never said a word while they were there. Next thing he knew they cancelled his insurance and would not pay the claim stating he was not honest with them when he applied and had powder improperly stored and was reloading ammo in the basement
He got a lawyer fixed the 10 grand in damage himself and it will be 2 years this july and doesn't look like he is getting a penny. His mama is still beating on him
He is not LOL any more nor can you seen any sign of powder or reloading going on in the house
Even insurance companies that are cool with reloading will say as long as the components are stored according to regulations and seriously we don't need to be too talented to make up a locked wooden box if not you are just rolling the dice
Cheers

304. (1) When propellant powder, percussion caps or black power cartouches are stored in a dwelling, they must be stored away from flammable substances and sources of ignition. People not authorized by the user must not be given unlimited access to the propellant powder, percussion caps or black powder cartouches.

That is all anything else refers to seperate storage unit not attached to your dwelling.

Mine is made with 3/4" ply fastened with brass screws with brass hardware and explosives written in bold letters like we are supposed to do.
The only thing I like about it is the smell when you open the box.

think you better look further into that one and pay attentions to the in a "suitable receptacle", the amount may not exceed 10 kg part

or better ask your insurance company and I will bet the farm they will drop you.
Been there and it is almost impossible finding an insurance company down here that is cool with powder and reloading in a home. That is why mine is outside
Cheers

Sturdy 2" Plywood and brass hardware (except the lock). Ostentatious warning stickers in case the commissars from the government want to nit pick over the letter of the storage regs. Mind you, I built this before they changed, so admittedly it's overkill, but since I also use it to store ammo on the shelf below the powders, it keeps my kids from getting into it.
