How many reloads out of G22 fired brass?

How many reloads should one expect to get out of brass being shot in a Glock 22 when using the factory barrel, and sticking to Hodgdon's or Lyman's listed 'suggested starting load' for Titegroup?

I have read a few times that .40S&W brass does not last that many reloads in a G22 vs 9mm in a G17. I am considering switching from a G17 to a G22 because my dad already has all the .40S&W kit for his Dillon XL650, so I can use it for free. To buy all the 9mm kit for his press would be $450.

Yes, I have the G22 jitters. The .40S&W has received so much bad press as far as reloading goes, especially in this platform.

Any experiences... opinions? :confused::redface::D

If you stick with light loads you should be able to use your brass a few times. It depends on the brass, bullets and powder and OAL...

Personally, I don't pickup Glock brass at all even if it's someone else's and thus free :D

I have some casing that are up to their 8th reload in my Glock 22 and their still good. And Im using intermediate loads with blue dot and titegroup.

You still haven't decided? :p I am on my 6th reload with Federal 10mm brass, not loaded hot (180@1150ish). Not a G22 I know but it's close.

$450 to switch the caliber? :eek: That's insane....

I got Hornady LNLAP and it cost me $27 - shell plate + $40 die set + $8 for 2 extra LNL die bushings (came with 5) for another caliber. Press came with small and large primer tubes and primer sliders.
