... and why do I never see them for sale?

I wish they'd Kickstart the pump rifle production line in NY again, and start building these things, along with 7615s. Seems to me the 7615 production could likely not keep up with demand these days, even in the US.

Those 7615 are super slick and would be a license to print money, if Remington had Ruger's management it would be resurrected, I would also like to see Remington bring back the 750 and chamber it in .223.

Not sure on quantity, but I believe they were only around here for a couple years, so not many around. The majority of them were .30-06, but I have seen them in .270 and .308 (very rare). I have the 30-06 version in my safe right now. :)

Fwiw, Rem Arms is producing 7600's, but nothing extraordinary...

They produce them only theoretically. No new ones for sale in stores for years.

It never ceases to amaze me that those dummies at Remington could never figure out how to put a recoil pad and sling studs on a 7600. <eye roll>

Oh for sure.

It's no wonder they went bankrupt twice.

Like I said, if they made the 7615, they could not possibly keep up with demand.

Look at the price Browning is getting for BLRs, that Henry gets for the Long Ranger and so on. The 76-series rifles would be a big money maker, especially in states with "assault" weapon bans.

Some guy on here had a new production 7600 for sale recently. Looked like crap. The wood stock was painted black and the finish on the metal looked cheap. He wanted a ton of money for it, not sure if it sold or not.

A first gen 760 could be left in the rain for a couple of days and the bluing would be fine. A modern remington would rust if you got it wet on the way from your house to the truck.

I can't help you with numbers except that I know that there are at least two 7600 Weathermasters in Canada. I wish there were more!
