I've only got two handguns, but between the two I'd probably go through 150-250 rounds per session. If I had a 22 handgun it would be a lot more.

last year it was roughly 350-400 per session. That number seemed to climb when I practiced more on steel. This year as I have less time to go practice,..I think I will up it to 500-550 to make up for less trips to the range. For rifle I limit it usually to 100-140rds .223.

Wow, wait a second. The question reads how many rounds. Not per firearm. I bring two or three handguns and put 200 or 250 pieces of brass on the floor on average.

That equates to no more than 50 through my Glock 22 .40
100 through my Taurus PT92
and another 50 through my Norinco NP34

If I'm feeling like more shooting I'll do another 50 through the Glock 22.

I think it is a good idea to separate .22LR from the rest.

Edited:

as well as pistol from rifle :) Otherwise "rounds" will have very different price.
