Ok, I know there are different cuts of powder ( flake, short cut/long cut kernel)and thus it will fill case differently.
I have 1000 bullets, 1000 of once fired 9mm brass and curious as to how much powder I would need to purchase to load these to factory velocities?
The simple stuff is a known factor as I will need 1000 primers, but how does one factor powder amounts when loading these amounts.
I do not need to load all 1000 rounds at once, but do not need to find out I need another pound of X powder and there is none to be found.
Thanks for the formula or other experiences.
Rob

Thanks Guys, just needed the formula .
I appreciate the fast reply,
Now to write it down so I do not forget.
Thanks Much,
Rob

ps, Thank you kjohn, kinda had it figured out that way too.
I need to determine what velocity my Beretta CX Storm Rifle
likes and go from there, or try and duplicate some factory velocities for 115grn bullets .

There are 7000 grains of powder in a pound. So, lets say, for easy figuring, you are going to use 5 grains in each round.

7000 divided by 5= 1400 rounds per pound @ 5 gr.:p

dont forget this, google convert will tell you what you need to know,

if you google,

convert 1 pound to grains

you get,

1 pound = 7000 grains
