Your comparison of the G36 is also totally out there, that rifle helped set a lot of standards...
Setting the bar doesn't mean that you ARE the bar.
I must admit that the G36 is a cool gun.

Plus the mags were free - and not mine - so why the hell would I care?![]()
I try to have at least 5 mags for each gun that I own just because.
Of couse that usually is a 'minimum' of 5.![]()

Then why do you care now?![]()
Yes HK does do some things quite well, the question though is does it really matter?
This thread is fast approaching AWESOMENESS!. FYI, last Big Boy package I was on some go fast types used these mags...they ran dirty, hot and were hitting the ground hard...no dump pouches required.

...sometimes they think too proprietary which creates answers to non questions...
Does anyone have any experience with the lancer mags? I was gonna get some but ended up with more Pmags.
I just don't wanna read anymore of this HK is better crap...it's getting old now. If it was really better then people wouldn't be tradin for the magpuls overseas!
Does anyone have any Emags, since you are all Magpul cool aid drinkers here. I'm serious, I need a few!
The Lancers ran well for everyone who used them and they worked perfectly for me. The mags got dirty and dusty both inside and out...all them were hitting the ground hard as per SOP...no COSTA flips (I finally watched the video).
Why would you want some Emags, the HK mags are just as good. Are you going to debate their price, weight and availability or just admit they lose in all three areas?
Hey hey, the mag flip is simply a bi-product of the visual chamber check.I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Availability will change in time! Price if you earn income in euros it's no big deal, if your cheap & don't like to spend money for high quality metal mags...that's your mentality. Weight is not significant, in regards to these mags, unless your a fat ass or to weak then it might be a big deal.
Also I'm multicultural when it comes to magazines!![]()
Nemesys,
Are HK magazines an official issue for Norwegian Armed Forces or a unit level acquisition?
If failure is systemic, does your Chain of Command allow use of personally acquired magazines?

You still haven't answered the question. How is a mag that costs more, weighs more, and unavailable a better mag?
How is weight a non issue? Why don't you run a Garand or M14 then. If weight is a non issue. Pmags weigh .31 lbs empty, the HK comes in at .54lbs. So you carry 10 mags(standard loadout for most) so that's 2.3 lbs of additional weight you didn't have to carry. Its also an additional cost. The average price for Pmag is $16, HK mags are $50. So for the look cool factor of having an HK product you'd sooner spend an additional $340 bucks and carry an extra 2.3 lbs for a product that can still rust, won't survive the same extreme tests as a Pmag and according to some still fails. This is chalk full of awesome...

They're official issue in so much as they're paid for by the military. They are still transitioning from G3s to the 416 so there's alot of debate as to what mag system to use. They'll most likely officially go to the HK mag. Not because they are better, but because HK sucks ALOT of Norwegian military industry ####. they've had a monopoly since the occupation. It will be a purely political decision - as with most things.
I'm not in the Norwegian military currently, so i can't speak from experience on this, but I do know from 1.5 hand info that some units are allowed to switch up their gear.

Actually there about $40 dollars US and for Pmags well that depends anywhere from $11 to $16 for a standard mag. Remember the US army does not pay that much for them either.
The debate here is simple, if your going to go steel then H&K was at least for a while the way to go...If thermolite or plastic then Pmag would be the choice, although there are other out in the market that would beg to differ.
As for when shooting high volume of ammunition with Pmags I found there to be more problems with them as far as stoppages etc etc,
The Pmags/plastic has many advantages over steel now so they say...
Also in extreme cold they have had there feed lips break although they say they fixed that issue.

Mind you the H&K mags are just like any other steel mag they will bend & deform eventually, but that why you should always by more mags![]()
That's just pure "anti-Germana with that statement" You're comparing a war that took place 70 years ago with the side that lost still having a say in your country. That is propaganda!
I think you have exposed yourself Sir as a fraud that just does not want another German rifle for personal reason.
