how many times can brass be reused and shot?

IIRC the Lee blurb for their collet neck resizing die claims that case life will be up to ten times longer.
I should then get 80 to 90 shots out of them. (?!)

Anyone had a chance to test this?

Whooooah there big fella. If there's one thing I've learned. Don't believe everything Richard Lee has ever put into print and promised.

The guy knows more about reloading than most of us could ever hope to, but he's also an excellent marketer and tends to stretch things a bit.

I have lost count of my 38 Spl loads & that means some yrs ago of continually reloading, not as long life with 9mm, but same with 45ACP seemingly many, many times like 9mm.

I read an article where a gun writer took a small number of .38 special cases, and reloaded them over and over again untill they all failed.

I guess he had a progressive reloader, and could shoot off his back porch.

The final round count was some silly number like an average 253 times before the case necks were splitting. Some cases did something like 180 and a few I shouldn't say that's what people should expect out of any caliber; .38 special rounds can be as low as 16 or 17 thousand psi.

It does show that very high round counts can be obtained.
