Just trying to get an idea as how many mags you have per handgun?

5 per handgun is good if theyre ten rounders as that matches the 50 round bo of ammo pretty well.

Good Point DM :D

Otherwise there's no such thing as "too many"

In the moment I have 5 for my SIG. But there's a gunshow next weekend, where I most likely will pick up some more.

I used to like to have enough loaded mags to finish two stages of NRA Action Pistol without reloading. That meant 16 mags.

One thing I like to do and found it helps for IPSC is to use a Feed mag. That way you do not have to bother trying to top up glock mags. As we all know they can be a pain.

I never broke a pistol mag so far.

A *good* magazine is one that works well with your pistol, feeds cartridges reliably & the follower engages the slide stop and allows it to lock back the slide when the mag is empty if it is meant to do so... ;)

I've never "broken" a pistol mag so far either but I've encountered more than a few that have not operated correctly. Usually they have been the 'cheapie' ones...

my standard is 10mags per gun
thats 10 mags pere ar15 per glock ect
only guns i dont do that to is my 303 wich i have 3 and my svi which i have 6 of.

i try to keep 10 mags per gun...but its easy to get carried away with mags...than again...you can never have enough for some reason. its much like guns.
