how much ammo do you use

Bring a 500 box atleast, I've shot off 500 in a couple hour range session with a bolt action .22 (when I first got it)
If you don't shoot it all that's great, but if you don't brig enough that can be an annoyance.
 
I bring 700 rounds to the range with me, but I mostly shot my two single shots, I usually use 100-150 rounds in 2 hours. Now if I take my BL22, 100 rounds doesn't last long at all, have gone through 600 rounds in the same time with it.
 
Depends on what i bring. If i bring the bolt action and am practising more aimed shooting, sometimes i may not even take 100 shots. If i've got the 10/22 and just want to have some fun blasting off some rounds, i usually bring 400-500 rounds. That's the nice thing about .22, 500 rounds barely takes up any room, and desn't weigh nearly as much as if i was blasting off 500 rounds from my sks.
 
Every day is different. .22 bolt-action, usually 150-200 rounds. .22 semi~300 rounds at least. If my kids tag along, it could be 20 rounds, could be 500...depends on the interest level. They've now tried the 20ga. 870 youth, so they want to use that more these days. :)
 
All depends on how much time I have. Usually take at list one 500 brick of .22lr, 300-400+ rounds of 7.62x39, and maybe 100+ rounds of 7.62x54r. Lately I have only used my .303 to sight in my rifle for hunting season. I pick up around 40-60 casings from a friend of mine when he shoots his .303. Doesn't believe in picking up his casing, so I luck into free brass for reloading and help clean up a bit more.
Sometimes I take a whole spam can or a whole crate with me. All depends on the day, and who I am with.

Your post reminded me of something. When I take a .223 to the range, along with a rimfire...I find that I have to do the rimfire shooting first. Don't tend to want much trigger time on a rimfire after shooting reloads out of my .223. Putting 5 rounds in one small, jagged hole with a .223 @ 105 yards is allot more rewarding than shooting a .22lr @ even 60 yards. So, I shoot rimfires OR centerfires on any given day, but never both on the same range trip. .22lr is what I can shoot 10 minutes from my house on the in-law's property, so 9/10...a "range trip" is .22lr and/or .17M2 only.
