how much ar sks-d or m trigger groups?

Whatever the market will bear, they aren't easy to come by these days. I paid $300 for a complete SKS-D some years ago, it came with 5 AK mags for that price. But they haven't made them for a while...
ok, couse i was doing some searching on google and by the looks of it basicly the only diference is the trigger group and the bolt. so im looking into some so i could try moding a sks to take ak mags. i was just looking at my sks and by the looks of it with simple/slight mods to the original mag/trigger group i can make it so the original mags are removable just like a detachable one.

There are some good articles on the subject, really it doesn't seem that complicated, I've considered converting my fixed mag versions to detachable over the years, using my D-Box as a template.
At the end of the day though, to be quite honest, I can reload the fixed mag versions faster with stripper clips than I can swap mags in the D-Box. And the fixed mags don't catch on regen in the bush (try hiking through tight immature spruce with anything extra hanging off). So I didn't bother. Also, AK mags are pricey and not that readily available anymore (Marstar does have them and at a good price). Only my two cents on that - it's like swapping a small block chevy into an S-10, sometimes you just gotta try it.
If I have time later I'll pull the trigger groups out of my D-Box & fixed mag models and confirm but I believe you're right, the groups are the same.

Further to my last post, if you're going to go to the effort of trying it, maybe consider whether 858 mags or 7.62x39 mm AR mags are a feasible option for that?
read this before attempting a SKS to SKS-D conversion , its alot tougher than you think , at the end you may end up with :
1. a rifle that dont work .
2. cost more than if you bot one .
3. it works but look like crap (home made) .

ofcorse everyone has there own veiw on things, but to me that looks verry simple. i have all the materials and tools, and like anything i would just have to take my time to do it properly.
i might start looking into a cheap beaten up sks to do that removable mag mod to it. and if it doesnt work then i'll just have a single shot sks

Yup that's right, that's my whole engine swap analogy...been there done that... Read up on it and take your time.
