The FCD is a taper crimp so it would take a hell of a lot to ruin the headspacing. Obviously a roll crimp is not a good idea though.
OP this will all depend on what gun you are using your reloads in.
In my Glock I don't need to crimp at all. As long as you expand as little as possible when flaring the case most combat type pistols have pretty sloppy chambers.
That said I still run my 9mm through the FCD but only to ensure I have reliable rounds, by removing any flare on the case mouth, but that's it.
So long story short, don't crimp them at all, just remove any flaring that might not be smoothed out by seating the bullet.
