How much difference between SF Glocks and reg. size?

Thinking about getting back into the Glock game. I've had a few regular size frames, and they fit decent. Has anyone tried both the regular and the SF models? Much difference? Better? Worse? Meh?
 
I have a Gen 4 and from what I gather taking off the backstraps leaves you with a grip size equal to that of the SF glocks. I find the differences between sizes to be very noticable although not drastic. Its all personal preference. I dont have large hands but I prefer rocking the large backstraps. For me I have better control when theres more to hold on to YMMV tho!

There is not much difference between the 21sf and a regular G17. I have had both, if you got smaller hands, get the 21sf. Thats what i went with and it was great.

Maybe we're talking about the difference between the 21 and the 21sf, though. In which case every comparison I've ever seen states a clear preference for one or the other. That leads me to believe that there is a significant difference in feel. Unlike the case of the Gen3 vs Gen4 M17, for which at least a few have been indifferent to differences in grip.

Which would you prefer? Depends on your hands and grip and taste. There's really no substitute for handling both.
